SEO Copywriting Tips For Page One Results
Before you can fully optimize your site, you need to know about SEO copywriting. SEO copywriting is a learned technique for writing your site content to increase your search rank while still being appealing to your human audience. While the concept has been around for awhile, it is still relatively new. It takes some effort on your part to get it right, but if done the wrong way, it’ll backfire. Basically, SEO copywritng is taking your written content and molding it to catch the attention of the search engines. This is when you actually weave in your primary keywords into the content, the ones you want to get ranked for.
What are the keys for effective SEO copy? The main problem usually boils down to lack of preparation in terms of knowledge necessary to do the job right. The highest performing content is that which is good and informative plus it provides good value to the reader. Also, search engines are always trying to find ways to ensure that only good content gets ranked highly. It’s a bit unusual, anymore, but the only way to compel other sites to voluntarily link to you is if your site is really terrific. Your website must either have something extremely interesting, funny, or otherwise very informative for this to happen, though. This would obviously lead to increase your inbound links, which is something that the search engines love. When you create content, do not repeat keywords excessively, and really you should just write in a normal way but using your keywords here and there. If there are any repetitive keywords in your content, use synonyms. Keywords used with too much frequency can look like keyword stuffing and you could get penalized by Google and others. It all changes though with synonyms because search engines like this sort of use of words, and it will be viewed in a favorable way. So that’s all called Latent Semantic Indexing, or LSI, and it has to do with related words to your niche and keywords. Google will also assess your site in this way, and it’s based on how related all the words/content are to the overall theme of your site.
When you want to create a good copy, use text, don’t include flash. SEO and flash don’t go together in any sense of the word. The search engine spiders won’t be able to understand the flash which will hurt your ranking. Added to that, the search engines weren’t built to index anything with flash. Therefore, if you use flash on your site, it won’t get indexed by the search engines.
Search engine optimization is about creating readable content that is in text. As you can see, it is extremely important to only use text and avoid using flash.
You may want to take care that you’re putting sufficient amounts of content on your pages. And do always make the effort to create content that oozes quality for the readers and engines. You’ll see optimum results when your content is roughly 400 words in length. You can also make your keyword density something around 4%. For your content, be sure to insert your main keyword phrase into the first paragraph. You can easily use these SEO tips, or go back and add to existing sites, but just keep going and build on your knowledge. But do keep in mind that you should never stuff your keywords anywhere, Google is heavy on that one. Apart from that, you should do fine.
