The first step to take is to go to Google and type in “fan page.” On the search results you’ll see a site that says “Create a Page.” Click on that website.

On the next page you need to determine what category that you want to your page to be under.

After you choose the category then the next step to take is to choose your name. It’s important to note that your page name can’t be changed so make sure you choose your name with caution.

If you don’t like your page name then you can always create a new one but if you have a lot of existing fans this could be a real pain.

The next step is to review Facebook’s conditions and terms and create your page.

Now you’ll need to login to your Facebook account. If you don’t have one already then you’ll need to create one.

*I would highly suggest inviting friends at a moderate pace. Don’t go inviting hundreds of friends at a time. This could cause facebook to suspend your account. I personally recommend inviting about 50 friends a day to be safe.

Step 3: You can import an email or contact list and invite them to become your fan.

Step 4: Post status updates. This is where you want to be fun and creative. If you’re promoting a business then make sure that you aren’t too spammy. It’s important to keep a healthy balance between business posts and personal posts.

Step 5: Add a “like” box to your website or blog.

If you want to get a lot of fans then it’s important to promote your fan page in as many places as possible.

Step 6: You can upload photos and post updates by setting up your cell phone.
