In Lieu Of a Command from the Gulf, I Am Pleased to Stay At Home And Look Out For Squirrels
Autumn lands upon the Black Country and we prepare to secure down the hatches against inclement climate such as screaming gales, monsoon-like downpours and icy spells as the leaves colour and plummet. Hats are on in anticipation of a cascade of conkers and acorns and you are unable move in the garden for squirrels burying the winter supplies.
All of this is highly agreeable to one such as myself, undertaking harmless and worthy SEO tasks and able to sit in the home study and watch measures unfurl outside of the window as well as the birds on their migr migration to sunnier climes. I cannot say I blame them and fondly of November holidays to the Abu Dhabi to visit my olds when they lived there. Those times are long gone though naturally I would look favourably upon any Emirate based summons that could require occasional site visits with complimentary membership of The Club, business class on Etihad, suite at the Crown Plaza. Ah yes, I can picture it easily. Or perhaps not.
Sadly, the occasional call from Arabia for IT support is less than likely to come which is really not a calamity as I far prefer to stick to that on a local level. If a pc is perpetually crashing or needs rebuilding, a printer needs installing then I’m more than glad to oblige. I’m always happy to do some IT support as the reasons for something failing are generally easy to trace and repair, but if you don’t know how to do it yourself then it’s an enormous problem and you need somebody who does.
However, for the future period, I will manage with the SEO that I really enjoy and try to promote business in the Black Country by getting them into the front page of search results for Google. After that of course, it’s down to the web pages to sell it’s products but I like getting the link to the pages before the buyer at the highest point of their search. It’s fun to do apart from anything else but the primary reason I like it so much is that, with my wife lately being treated for breast cancer involving lots of outings to hospitals, I have to be able to abandon everything at the drop of the hat protecting my head from gravity fuelled conkers and acorns. Not to mention the chasing tree rodents.
Happily, cancer treatment in this bit of the Black Country has proved to be very thorough and impressive and so long as I can continue to be able to support her during this horrible time, I will be happy.
