Ditching Software Consultancy And Uncovering SEO Has Been The Best Thing That Has Turned Up

I have been toiling in and about the IT game now for in excess of 20 years. In fact, the week I began as a trainee programmer was the week of the Lockerbie bombing, which gives rather more idea of how long I’ve been pulling my fetid corpse around the place. In that interlude, I’ve learnt to use a considerable diversity of skills and disciplines, traipsed far and wide, been on the permanent employment and a freelance contractor doing software consultancy work. And I can state with great authority that search engine optimisation is by far and away the best thing I’ve ever found.

Having turned myself into an affordable SEO company, it has the benefits that it runs around the vile IR35 measure that attacks freelancers by seeing them as ‘hidden employees’ as I have several contracts with clients that run concurrently and hopefully over the very long term as I optimise their pages and try to raise them as far up the search engine results pages as I can.

The great thing for me is that throughout my existence I have always loved creative writing, whether it be tales in the full length version or short, song lyrics, diaries or blogs. Sometimes a combination of several, and this is what search engine optimisation allows me to do for the majority of my time. At first when I take on a new client I spend a long time looking at their pages, calculating how it can be improved to make it more attractive to the search engines by looking at the words on the page, in the HTML that creates it and the pictures and then ensure that it is fully indexed with the biggest search engines. Once that is done then I can start writing about just about any topic I can think of that brings a particular angle to the client’s pages or business.

It’s fabulous, and for that reason I want mine to be the most affordable SEO company that I can make it, I’m not concerned in charging massive fees and then having the client go off and use someone else after I’ve finished the initial work. I want to work with them for plenty of time to come and remain a quiet yet vital part of the prop for their business.

I used to pursue the big money when I was doing software consultancy and earned them in a lot of cases, but when the work is terminated, the numbers reduced or you find yourself with the wrong nationality in the wrong place, unemployment sucks away those bucks and all too soon you’re back to square one when you started. I do not want to be experiencing that again, it’s too hard and debilitating to be always fire-fighting.

I can also be an affordable SEO company as my costs are very low. I work from home so there is no difficulty with the commute to the office, I can choose my own working time. For example, I am writing this on a Saturday after lunch just because I really fancy doing it and I mislaid some time during the last week when the power was off as the fellows putting in my new kitchen needed to do something with some plugs.

I seriously can’t commend it enough. If somebody enjoys the creative process, can take the issue involved in managing stacks of pieces on the same theme without getting irritated, I suggest you learn search engine optimisation and get started. If you do not want to set yourself up, you can look for an affordable SEO company somewhere close by I’m sure and if, like me, you were ever into software consultancy, then you’ll never look back.
